The referencing mistakes we fix most often
Inconsistent in-text formats, missing page numbers for direct quotes, sources cited in the text but missing from the list (and vice versa), DOIs typed incorrectly, and websites cited without authors or access dates. Each of these is a small deduction that adds up.
Every source we cite is real and retrievable. We do not pad reference lists with fabricated entries — if a source cannot be verified, it does not go in.
