One-to-one tutoring that explains it until it clicks
Some things need a conversation. A tutor walks through the topic, the method or the feedback with you — at your pace, on your material — until you can do it yourself.
What this service includes
- Live one-to-one sessions — screen-shared, recorded by arrangement, focused on your material.
- Topic walkthroughs — the concept, the method and the worked examples you actually need.
- Marking rubric decoding — what each criterion means and what evidence earns the marks.
- Feedback reviews — going through returned work together and turning comments into an action plan.
- Exam and assessment preparation — timed practice, question patterns and revision planning.
- Flexible scheduling — evenings, weekends and urgent pre-deadline slots.
How sessions work
Send your material in advance — lecture notes, a draft, a problem sheet, returned feedback. Your tutor prepares a plan, then the session works through it interactively: explain, practise, check, adjust. You leave with notes and next steps.
Sessions run online with a shared screen, so you can see every step being worked, ask questions in real time and revisit the recording afterwards where agreed.
Who tutoring is for
Foundation and first-year students building core skills, international students working in English for the first time, returners brushing up after a break, and postgraduates who need a specific method unlocked.
Tutoring is teaching, not answering: you do the assessment, we make sure you understand it well enough to do it with confidence.
