Proofreading and editing that makes your draft read like your best work
You have written the draft. We clean it up without changing what you argued: grammar, punctuation, clarity, flow, structure and academic tone — with tracked changes so you can see every edit.
What this service includes
- Grammar, spelling and punctuation — including the small errors spellcheck misses.
- Clarity and concision — cutting padding, fixing tangled sentences, tightening paragraphs.
- Structure and flow — signposting, paragraph order, transitions between sections.
- Academic tone — removing informal phrasing and over-claiming while keeping your voice.
- Formatting consistency — headings, tables, figures, captions and numbering.
- Tracked changes plus a summary — so you can accept, reject or query every edit.
Proofreading or editing — what is the difference?
Proofreading is the final pass: spelling, grammar, punctuation and consistency. Editing goes deeper into clarity, structure and academic style. Most students book editing for a first draft and proofreading once the content is settled.
Tell us which one you need — or send the draft and we will recommend the lighter option if the writing is already in good shape. We will not upsell you a heavier service than your work needs.
What editing will not do
We do not rewrite your argument into our words, invent evidence or add references that do not exist. If a section needs substantive work, we flag it in the summary so you can decide what to do next — and if you want help with that, your writer can advise you.
Your work stays your work. Everything is confidential, handled under an anonymised reference, and returned by your deadline.
